You can get the Normal ending even with everyone freed as long as Val trusts you, regardless of Charm status, 60% is the threshold for Normal/True. Minimum Trust drop is 10 from 10 slaves. Maximum is 17 as of v0.62 - "willing" slaves do not affect Slave Count, neither do NPCs like Frost Queen and Sarah's Mom.
