Obedience

From Adventure High Wiki
Revision as of 10:59, 18 January 2021 by imported>Hentropia (Code checks again. Val gains 10 Obedience from each push; the +5 Trust from "Let's be careful" makes it enough to avoid pushing her twice for the massive Trust (not Affection, could have been changed from when the article was written, double-checked the entire scene for negative Affection) penalty as well as getting her too early.)

Obedience is a stat in Adventure High, though it's the least known one.

The higher the obedience, the more of a slave a character is to the Protagonist. Similar to the Trust stat, a high enough Obedience stat (Trust+Obedience=35) allows you to manually control them in battle as long as they have enough Trust. Otherwise, you'll have to Persuade or enslave them.

The only known way to increase the Obedience stat is to enslave characters, or causing Confuse during certain scenes, which increases their Obedience stat slightly.

Trivia

  • During the intro scene, pushing your spell onto Val once then freeing her increases her Obedience stat enough to make her able to control manually as long as you told her to be careful, while she still won't count as your slave.
    • Each push increases Obedience by 10. Doing this more than once, however, drops her Trust by 10 the second time.
  • Obedience is the only stat that affects what people thinks of the Protagonist that lacks some form of potion to increase.
    • This is likely intentional as enslaving people is, presumably, frowned upon.
  • The only two characters to start with a non-zero Obedience are Molly and Victoria, at 10 and -10 respectively.
    • Victoria doesn't really matter as you don't control her as of version 0.62 but considering implemented variables and that she has a set Level, this is planned at some point.
