Disclaimer: I'm not being passive-aggressive, before someone cries about me being that. So, here's a fun fact:
You're completely and utterly wrong in your scenario about Val giving bad testimony because you only did two quests with Erin.
I did the exact same thing as you claimed you did.
Val STILL gave me good testimony, allowing me to complete the game. Why?
Because she had enough Trust.
Val does not give nor good bad testimony.
Val either fucks you over (too low trust) or helps you out (high trust) OR you have Charmed her.
Here's literally what I did, in order:
-New game
-Go with Val
-Let's be careful (THIS INCREASES TRUST. PICK THIS OPTION IF YOU'RE GOING FOR THIS ENDING.)
-Enslave Val+Sarah in the hallway (Confuse+Suppression, Confuse+Grapple)
-Floor 3 note
-Enslave Julia (Confuse+Grapple)
-Willing slave Cass
-Enslave Jane+Molly during Jane's fourth class
-Two Monster Capture quests
-Enslave Erin (Grapple)
-Get Ashley, do NOT enslave her
-Purchase book
-Floor 10 note
-Book Ms. Rack+Dr. Tiff
-Book Victoria
-Enslave Brittany
-Confront Drape
