I remember hearing when I lurked his Discord sometime that "it's basically some form of psychological block" but honestly, I don't remember the exact wording.

Apparently, every person *can* have magic, but for some reason, some get "blocked" and thus are unable to obtain magic. I'd love to see a magic-less character that has to use items or equipment to fight.

But that'd open a new problem: the school teaches magic. And I doubt you're able to stay in school if you don't have magic... said student could however just enter the dungeon under the guise of having a physical-type gift and no one notices this.
