Make a shop in the dungeon.

Have it show up after the frost queen with some intelligent monster running it, and when found it gives you either powerful battle items, story items for later, or other services.

Hell, put it in one of the water levels, make it a "loanshark" and have the protag put up a slave for collateral to get some large boost.
