I couldn't tell you what you guys were talking about. I just relayed that Changer (or someone who claimed to be him, I don't know since I have no way to prove nor disprove this) and he replied with "...I see" and went back to reading his book.
In regards to the payment: I have no proof if you guys talked about *hourly* or *monthly* payments. He said something among the lines of "being too tired to think straight" so I assume he thought he was getting some sort of payment monthly, rather than hourly which was what he assumed? I can't tell you one way or the other.
All I *do* know is that the guy is exhausted. I literally came home a few hours, seeing Julia sitting in the kitchen.
Our dialogue went like this:
ME: Something wrong, Julia? I haven't seen you cry before (admittingly, I've only known her for a few months).
JULIA: ...I'm not the one crying... He is.
I walked in and... He was just bawling his eyes out. He said something about "being way too exhausted to continue". I honestly feared he might take suicide at that point. Last time he said he was too exhausted to continue, I came home with him sitting on a chair, holding a kitchen knife.
Me: ...What the hell, man? You okay?
Him: ...Do you think... Death is painless...?
Me: ...What?
Him: .........
Me: ...? Dude, you okay there?
Him: .......
I couldn't get through to him. It took me six *hours* of non-stop trying to get through to him to even make him look me in the eyes again. Had I not come home when I did, he might have actually ended his life at that point (I was lucky as I got to go home early that day due to not feeling well).
From what I know, he's had a *very* rough past (I'm not sure how much he told you about me, but I consider myself *lucky* when compared to him). The only times he *ever* talks about his past is literally when he's bawling his eyes out. I've known the dude for close to fifteen years.
During those years, he's cried this much *twice*. The first time was when his dog died, eight years ago. The second time was today.
I suggest you hold off on payment (or trying to contact him). Let him take his time. He might come back and want to continue again. And he might not. I can't tell one way or the other.
Like I said. I can't help. All I know is, the dude is *not* feeling okay. At all.
He mumbled something earlier about "[She] had lied to him... And now, even [you/Changer] seems to think little of him". Who "She" is, I don't know either. AFAIK, the dude's been single for roughly a year. I checked his FB and couldn't see anything out of the ordinary (note: before you ask, he never logs out of his FB because he never uses it to begin with).
Whether it's about the payment or something else... Like I said. No idea. Let him take his time to rest and recover.
Julia is currently soothing him (you'd be surprised, her voice is a fucking *angel's* voice to me). While he did stop crying earlier, I fear the slightest thing might cause him to break down. And that's the last thing I'd ever want.
