Stamina

Revision as of 14:27, 8 January 2021 by imported>Hentropia (Act can actually go negative when you get to act as long as you have full Stamina. Or were you referring to another - sign such as negative Stamina? Confirmed the 90% penalty cap and that it also applies to Act recovery rate.)

Stamina is a stat in Adventure High.

The more Stamina you have left, the faster your Act recovers and the sooner your turn (Act=1 or less) comes around. It also directly affects damage and spell effects regardless of amount spent if it's below 100%.

Using a spell depletes some Stamina, with higher leveled spells depleting more compared to lower leveled ones and having higher Act delay. The stronger the spell, the more Stamina it drains. The less Stamina you have left, the less damage your spell deals and the longer it takes for that character's turn to come around again.

  • Val's Freeze spell at level 1 will add a base 60 Act to the target at full Stamina. After one use (98% Stamina), this drops to 59.
  • The highest penalty seems to be at 10% Stamina or less (your Stamina can be negative and still allow casting) where the effects and Act recovery rate are reduced by 90%.

As of version 0.62, there are three ways to recover Stamina.

The first is to exit the dungeon and head to the Protagonist's room.

The second is to use the Rest command during battle. It recovers a small amount of HP and a small amount of Stamina, but it takes quite some time for that character to act again as Rest itself has a delay (based on character level and possible other factors, the minimum seen was 75 during the first battle).

The third one is to bring Molly. With 150 Support Proficiency, she's able to use the "Recover" spell, which uses some of her own Stamina to restore an ally's Stamina.

You can increase your max Stamina by simply leveling up or enchanting with the Endurance upgrade. This also gives a Speed boost.

Trivia

  • Prior to version 0.37, Negative Stamina worked differently; it then caused your Act to increase rather than decrease, meaning you would literally wait forever but never be able to get another turn in unless the battle was completed and you exited the dungeon to recover.
    • This was changed in version 0.37, so it simply makes you deal single digit damage at all times.
  • Molly's "Restore" spell is the only spell as of version 0.62 not to have a Stamina cost. This is due to it being percent based, rather than a flat amount.
  • As of version 0.62, Reese and Molly has the highest and lowest starting Stamina respectively (200 vs 30).
