You're gonna tame monsters to make money.
But you have no idea what happens during those scenes.
You can thus read this transcript to find out.
This transcript starts from when you speak to Erin and Eric at the Monster Ranch the first time.
However, you might also be interested in other transcripts. In that case, check out the List of Transcripts.
The transcript is not chronological (except for the first visit). Instead, the monster hunting quests are at the top while any non-monster catching related transcript is at the bottom to avoid cluttering.
The First Visit
Erin: Oh, hello! ERIC! Eric get out here we have a customer!
Eric: What? Why did you open the store? We don't even have anything to sell!
Erin: We sell a service. We don't need stock to sell a service.
Protagonist: So, wait, what do you guys do here anyway?
Eric: You don't know? See, Erin? I told you we needed to advertise.
Erin: Don't worry about it! Once people catch on to our service it'll all work out. We'll be drowning in requests!
Eric: I'm sorry, my sister is a little bit eager to get started in this town.
Protagonist: What do you mean by this town? I thought this was the only city left...
Eric: Is that what they teach you here? I'm not surprised. Knowing about other cities oculd lead people trying to travel unprepared.
Erin: This is one of the largest cities though! Most places barely count as a camp if you are being generous. And none of them have a barrier to protect them like this place does!
Eric: Oh! But we never answered your original question. We come from a long line of monster tamers.
Erin: If you can call two generations a long line.
Eric: Moving on. Most ranches were wiped out when the livestock went mad with magical power. If it wasn't for Tamers like us, there wouldn't be any reliable source of meat for your meals.
Erin: That's not the only service we provide though!
Eric: Right... We've found that there is demand for... Specific monsters to be tamed. Sometimes cute ones for pets, sometimes ah... more humanoid ones for... Other reasons.
Erin: Sexy reasons.
Eric: Sis!
Erin: What? If that's what s/he's into, it's not up to us to judge.
Eric: S/He didn't say anything either way.
Erin: Oh, sorry!
Eric: I'm sorry abotu that. Say, are you by any chance a student at the academy here?
Protagonist: Um... Yeah?
Eric: Great! Listen, we could use some help. Since we're not students we can't enter rthe school's dungeon, but there are a few high demand monsters that turn up in the dungeon from time to time.
If you are interested in trying to hunt some down, we will post bounties we get that we can't find outside the city on the board. Once we get set up, and open for real, we can provide with you some taming chakrams. They're easy to use, easier than lassos.
Erin: Lassos can be fun too, though. Mmm... Magical bondage...
Eric: I do not not need to hear about your fetishes, Erin! Anyways, I need to work on getting this store opened for real. Let your friends know the offer is up for all students. Hope to see you around!
First Monster Hunt: Heart Slime
Erin: Oh, are you interested in this bounty? It's to catch a heart slime.
Protagonist: I've never seen a monster like that before.
Erin: They are rare, but we got news of one being spotted on the fourth floor of the dungeon. It's a little stronger than most monsters there, but not by much.
Protagonist: How can it be stronger? I thought the barrier filtered monsters by strength consistently?
Eric: That's sort of the trouble with layered sigils like your dungeon uses.
Erin: Seperate spells don't like to work together! Sometimes, special monsters have just the right properties to be immune to the repelling effects of the sigils.
Eric: Only the first floor sigil is perfect. It doesn't work alongside the others. It is made simply to stop any monster from passing.
Protagonist: So... This slime could be anywhere.
Erin: Probably! But monsters like to nest in a small area, so if it was spotted on the fourth floor, it'll probably still be there. This is your first time taming, so we should explain how taming chakrams works.
Eric: The chakrams don't have blades, so you don't risk harming your target during the capture. What you want to do is throw the chakram so that it lands on the monster.
Erin: The chakram will change size to suit it's target, then shrink down and fit like a collar. The enchantment will break the monster's will and allow you to capture it without a fuss!
Eric: Unless it's a strong monster. If it's too strong and healthy, it will resist the enchantment and break the chakram! So, you'll need to weaken it first.
Erin: But don't kill it! Our chakrams only control monsters. They don't revive dead ones!
Eric: Right. I'll give you a couple chakrams free since this is your first bounty. If you need more, we started selling our extras to the owner of that store next door.
Erin: And if it's too expensive there, I can be negotiated with for other kinds of payments, handsome.
Eric: Sis!
Erin: Oh fine. Killjoy...
Eric: Anyways. If you are too strong, the monster might try to run away from you. If that happens you can stop monsters from fleeing by pressing Enter, then opening the options to turn off monster fleeing. Your strength will be hidden from the monsters that way, so they won't know to run away. Good luck out there.
Protagonist: Thanks. I'll have that monster in no time.
Delivering the Heart Slime
Erin: Welcome back. Oh! Isn't that monster cute!
Protagonist: Is it okay to have monsters outside the dungeon?
Erin: Oh, as long as they're tame it's fine. We already got permission from the mayor.
Eric: We've been doing this for two generations and not one monster has ever gone feral after being tamed. Good job hunting this little guy down though. Hope it wasn't too much trouble. I forgot to mention before, but you can use the same chakram as many times as you want as long as it doesn't break.
Erin: They are fairly durable, ad if you don't need to bring the monster back here, you can break it down into energy gems on the spot instead. We made it feel good, so it's more humane than simply killing it!
Eric: I still think you made it feel too good.
Erin: If I had to choose the last sensation I feel, I'd want it to be an orgasm.
Eric: ...Your libido is something else... That aside, I hope my sister doesn't scare you away. I'm sure we'll get some new requests in soon and we could use your help.
Erin: Until then, stay safe, sweetheart!
New Hunt: Rubber Naga and Slime Girl
Erin: Oh, looking at the new request? Yeah, you get ones like that from time to time. They aren't rare, just desirable.
Protagonist: What do you mean?
Eric: I'll be blunt. The person who placed this order wants to use the monsters for sex. I know, it's pretty weird but money is money.
Sounds fun, actually.
Erin: Really? I should show you my collection sometime! I have a few really nice monsters we found on the way here you've probably never seen before!
Eric: Do you really have to do this right now?
Erin: I suppose not. Well, what we need you to do is catch one naga and one slime girl. I'm sure you must have seen them around already.
Eric: Just... Bring them back here and we'll pay you for it.
That is pretty weird.
Eric: I've had to get used to it, myself. To each their own, right?
Erin: To each their own personal se-
Eric: Sis! Please don't chase away our only hunter with those comments. Look... All we need is for you to capture one rubber naga, and one slime girl. I'll pay you a bit extra for the... Weirdness.
Delievering the Girls - Erin's Route
(This gives 4000 Gems and the ability to enslave Erin later)
Erin: Oh wow, you really got some nice looking ones! I like slime girls the best; they're so soft and pliable and you can really get into-
Eric: SIS!! Would you behave yourself?
Erin: I can't help it! You know I get excited!
Eric: You two can talk about your monster fantasies all you want in private but we're running a business here.
Erin: Aw... I guess you have a point...
Eric: Here's your payment. I'm going to wash my ears out now.
[Recieved 4,000 Gems]
Delivering the Girls - Eric's Route
(This gives 5000 Gems but you won't be able to enslave Erin)
Erin: Oh, you got them! I can't tell how you much I love the-
Eric: Ahem.
Erin: Right... Um... Good job catching these, sweetheart! I hope they weren't too much trouble for you!
Protagonist: It wasn't difficult.
Eric: Good to hear. I have your reward ready for you, and a bit extra for having to put up my sister's... Lack of restraint.
[Recieved 5,000 Gems]
The Third Hunt: Four Flower Girls
Erin: Oh good, I was hoping you would take that one.
Protagonist: It was the only one on the board...
Eric: Only one? There should have been three.
Erin: They must have fallen off the board. Oh well, no reason to worry about it. They weren't any fun anyway.
Eric: We're not running the shop for fun. There jobs are work. You can't ignore good paying jobs just because they aren't fun?
Erin: What's the problem? We're getting a job done.
Eric: ...I'm just going to go bang my head on the wall outside for a while. You can tell them what the job entails.
Erin: Yeah... Sorry I wanted this job done first. There is a customer who is looking to make a harem of plant girls. He's willing to pay a lot for four flower girls. The more the merrier, right?
You can never have too many pets.
Erin: Exactly. Plus, plants are better in groups. They can work together to...
[She trails off as she looks into space for several moments as though she was in the middle of daydreaming before snapping back to attention with a heavy blush]
Erin: Oh... Well I'll have to show you sometime. Good luck out there!
Seems greedy.
Erin: Oh... I guess... That... That's what he's paying for though. If you still want to do the job, there will be a lot of gems for you...
Special Delivery: Flower Girls
Erin: Hey, thanks. We got your flower girls in the ranch now waiting for pickup. Maybe we can play with them a bit in the meantime...
Eric: Could you behave yourself? They are for the customer. I don't need to get complaints abotu the monsters being... used.
Erin: How would they even know? They were caught in the wild.
Eric: I really don't want to talk about this... [Protagonist], good job catching the flower girls. Here's your payment, 8000 gems. In the future, I'll try to make sure you have a choice on what jobs to take on. Hope my sister doesn't make it too hard for you to work with us.
Erin: Hey, if anything I make it easier for him/her!
Eric: Some people prefer to work with professionals. Just try to behave yourself...
The Fourth Hunt: Two Spear Fish vs One Aquatic Girl
[You look at the paper for a few moments, slowly decyphering the strange phrasing on it until it becomes apparent what is going on. The paper describes two quests, in an alternating pattern, apparently to prevent Erin from simply tearing the less interesting quest off of the paper.
The first mission is to capture two Spear Fish for use as body guards for a travelling merchant for ten thousand gems. The second requests the capture of an Aquatic Girl for unspecified purposes. You can take an educated guess though... A price of eight thousand gems is written on it.]
Capture two Spear Fish for 10,000 Gems
Protagonist: Hey, I'd like to do this quest for the Spear Fish.
Erin: Ah shoot...
Eric: Business is business, Erin. Sorry, the monsters you are looking for should be in an area with a lot of water. It will be good for the city too, with some water based monsters protecting the buyer, he's hoping to be able to reach new areas to trade with that have fire monsters in the way.
Erin: Good luck, hun. Hope you'll pick a more fun one next time.
Spear Fish delievered
Erin: Thanks sweetie, we got your Spear Fish.
Eric: Yeah, with any luck the store will have some new items to sell. Not right now though, obviously. It takes a long time to reach the camp our buyer is planning to head for.
Erin: Assuming he survives the trip, anyways.
Eric: It's a risk any merchant takes. Regardless, [Protagonist], here's your payment of 10,000 Gems. I'll be sure to put up a new sign as soon as we get in a new order.
Capture one Aquatic Girl for 8,000 Gems
Protagonist: Hey, I'd like to do this quest for the Aquatic Girl.
Erin: Great, sounds fun!
Eric: Calm down. It's for the customer's use, not yours.
Erin: A girl can still enjoy the idea of it...
Eric: Alright... Look, the monster can be found deep in the flooded part of the dungeon. Get her, and bring her back and I'll pay you for the job.
Erin: Good luck, sweetie. Hope you pick a cute one!
Aquatic Girl delivered
Erin: Thanks sweetie, we got that cute Aquatic Girl.
Eric: And I have her locked up so Erin can't play with her.
Erin: I am able to behave myself, you know.
Eric: I have a very large number of examples that say otherwise. Let's not talk about it infront of [Protagonist] though. [Protagonist], here's your payment of 8,000 gems. I'll be sure to put up a new sign as soon as we get in a new order.
Erin's invitation
Erin: [Protagonist], wait up!
Protagonist: Did you forget something?
Erin: No, I was just wondering if you would like to hang out sometime. I could show you my collection if you are interested.
Accept.
Protagonist: Of course I'd be interested.
Erin: I knew you would be! I need to get back to work before Eric throws a fit, but we'll talk later, okay?
Protagonist: Sure, see you later.
Decline.
Protagonist: I'm not really interested, sorry.
Erin: You aren't? But you said in the shop...
Protagonist: I was just trying to be polite.
Erin: I see... Well, I'll see you around then...
