A book has shown up out of the blue in the Item Shop.

It costs a whooping 10,000 Gems to purchase.

However, it might lead you down a path you never knew existed...

This transcript starts from when you give it to Julia.

Giving Julia the Book

Julia: Hm, what's this now?

Protagonist: This book was for sale at the item shop and thought you might want to take a look at it.

Julia: ... It certainly has a... Foreboding atmosphere around it.

Protagonist: Think you can figure out what the deal is with it?

Julia: Leave it with me, I'll have it figured out in no time.

Protagonist: Alright, I'll come back later then.

(Talk to her again to trigger this scene).

Protagonist: Julia?

Julia: Oh... Hm.. This is embarassing.

Protagonist: Were you...

Julia: Touching myself? Yes.

Protagonist: Is there... A particular reason or...

Julia: This book is... very compelling.

Protagonist: So.. It's porn then?

[Understanding her meaning, you snatch the book out of her hands, careful not to let yourself look at the pages inside. She glares at you sharply for a moments before taking a deep breath.]

Protagonist: Are you going-

Protagonist: Alright. I will let you finish reading then.

Julia: Thank you. I only have a few chapters left, though I might reread it just to make sure everything sticks. Not that it will be necessary. I am all but enthralled by the book already. Perhaps to you, as well. Since you are it's owner...

Julia's Second Reading

Julia: Ah, Master/Mistress. I was just going over the book one last time. My research indicates that it... Well... Even using my magic to glean information on it was enough for it to get a hold on me. (She counts as your slave from this point onwards).

Protagonist: Is that when I found you?

Julia: No, I had used my magic on the book very shortly after you left it with me. I had been reading the book it's self for several hours by the time you had found me. From the moment I set my eyes on the words even through my magic I was hooked. Even if I knew what would happen, I could not have stopped on my own. I suppose you will want the book back. Or I could... do more research on it for you to determine if it's power is a result of my weak defenses or if it would work as well on others. (Note: the typo "the book it's self" is present in the game).

(Take the book)

Julia: It is yours. I hope you will be able to enlighten more women with it's power.

(Allow her to research more)

Julia: Thank you, Master/Mistress. I will do my best to research the full extent of the book's power for you.

Protagonist: Good Girl. Let me know what you find out.

Ashley "reading" the Book

Protagonist: Ashley? What are you doing in here?

(Scene change: Protagonist's bedroom)

Protagonist: There she is. Exactly where I left her.

[Bowing her head submissively, Julia presents the book to you. As you reach for it, you notice her fingers slide, or slip. You aren't sure which, but the book folds open infront of your eyes.

Your eyes lock onto the words on the first page, scanning across them rapidly before you manag to pull your head up to look at Julia's face, which showed no apparent expression.]

Julia: Oh, I'm sorry Mistress. My hand must have slipped.

[She quickly snaps the book shut, pressing it into your hands]

Julia: I hope your will is stronger than mine. If not... Well... You could always leave the book with me so you aren't tempted to read more...

Jane: Oh, well I'll never say no to a gift. Thank you, dear. I'll be sure to let you know what I think of it when I finish reading.

Protagonist: Everyone seems to be here... But where's Jane?

Jane: If everyone is here, we can get started.

Of course there was Val; for better or worse she has always been around since you were both children. She might be disappointed not be your first pick.]

Ms. Rack: This is your assignment before next class: Choose a partner, and find the sigil within the dungeon. Touch it, and come straight back. Do NOT go past it. Monsters live beyond it, and they are not safe to face before you have learned how to defend yourselves.

[You know Val will approach you in a moment. Should you try to find another partner, or team up with her?]

Val: Hey, did you want to team up?

Protagonist: Sure, we can go together.

Val: Great! Let's go!

(Team up with the blue haired girl)

Protagonist: Hey, would you like to team up?

Sarah: No. Sorry. I am planning to team up with a friend of mine. I think I see her over there. Hey! Cass!

Cassandra: Sarah? Is that you? You look... Uh... Different from last year.

Sarah: Yeah, I decided to go back to my natural hair color. How do you like it?

Cassandra: It's... I mean, yeah it looks alright I guess. Ready to kick some monsters around?

Val: Hey, it looks like we're the only ones without partners. Guess we're stuck with each other again huh?

Julia: I was not sure if what I felt about you when was accurate but this confirms it. You have no gift.

Obtaining Magic

(Scene change: school)

Val: [Protagonist]! How did it go? What kind of gift did you get?

Protagonist: ...

Julia: None.

Val: [Protagonist]... Are... Are you okay?

(Scene change: town)

Protagonist: I... I don't know...

Julia: I may be able to research possible cures, but nothing I have read has suggested that this can happen.

Val: Come with me.

Protagonist: What?

Val: I can't explain, just... Miss... Could you wait here for a minute?

Julia: I can.

(Scene change: Ms. Rack's room)

Val: Okay, so, I'm sorry about this...

Protagonist: It's... It's not your fault...

Protagonist: You lost me.

Val: It's just... I know it's a lot of temptation...

Meeting Julia Again

(This scene triggers once you meet her in the Library again by going to 1 Secret Notes class.

Julia: Ah, hello again. We should have complete privacy to discuss anything we need to here.

Protagonist: People don't normally come in here?

Julia: Not generally. Most students, and teachers really are more focused on practical application, rather than actual study.

Julia: I knew you would agree! Too many people don't understand the importance of good information. These books aren't written just to be left on the bookshelf for the rest of time.

Protagonist: So... these books are about magic then?

Julia: Well, that and other topics. History, fantasy, romance, er.. well if you are interested in those kinds of books. I study, mostly. My gift helps me learn about anything. Even your gift.

Protagonist: What do you mean?

Julia: I know you have the gift of Control. I don't know if you've used it on anyone but I know you have it.

Julia: Well... that is a relief, assuming you are telling the truth. Still, I do want to team up with you.

Protagonist: What exactly do you want in return?

Julia: I'm not really much of a fighter. But I need to graduate. So, I need someone to tell me when the secret classes are. It'll be no more effort on yoru part than what you would be doing anyway. So, you can see that you would be getting the better deal here.

Protagonist: Why would you want to make that kind of deal; or even be here if you don't want to go into the dungeon?
