There's a several ways to increase affection, hidden behind this convinent spoiler tag.

Increasing affection
  • Giving them Love Potions increases their affection, though giving Molly three or more transforms her into a Succubus.
    • You cannot give them to Derrick nor Angie, due to both being immune to their effects.
    • Each Love Potion gives +5 affection.
    • If you use Ink Bombs to prank someone, they lose 5 affection but Molly gains 5 if she's the one who works in the store.
  • To increase Molly's affection without making her become a Succubus, send people ink bombs. It'll make them hate you, but it'll increase Molly's affection in return, as she loves practical jokes. Otherwise, you can send people roses to increase Molly's affection, as she likes the romance.
  • Agree with the person you're talking to, or encourage them.
  • If Cassandra is your mistress, healing her during battle increases affection if she's taken enough damage to demand a heal but ignoring her decreases affection again.

Julia is the currently easiest one to raise from her initial affection to Crush level, given how you can do it in a single conversation.

When you first meet her in the library, tell her that 'studying is important'. She's now at angry waves. Next, tell her that she won't have to worry about foul play from you. She is now at one heart.

Trivia

  • The Flirt spell is affected by the target's affection towards the Protagonist. The higher affection, the more it recovers. At 3 hearts affection or above, both the Protagonist and the one healed will recover HP.
  • As of version 0.47, bubbles were added when picking certain dialogue options, showing if you got an increase or decrease in affection. For affection, the bubbles are red.
  • Derrick and Angie are the only known characters you cannot use Love Potions on, as they're immune to the effects of the items they sell.
