"...Th-Thank... you."

Ashley the Lost Mage

Ashley is Julia's big sister who disappeared in the dungeon during her time at the school.

After losing control over a Berserk spell for a full year, she starts running wild in the first floor of the dungeon, making her the only enemy to ever spawn on that floor from a random encounter. The teachers never searched the first floor for her due to no monsters living there. They assumed she was dead due to it being common that students die in the dungeon.

While you can defeat her any amount of times, she'll always come back until you cast Suppress using the Protagonist a few times in the same battle. This will cause her to calm down, but the Protagonist remarks there's nothing beneath her hatred. Julia, if brought, is shocked at this and says that can't be right.

Due to her broken mind, her way of speech is very basic, referring to herself as 'me' and similar. She only looks for the next fight.

Once her mind is fixed, she's shown to be quite intelligent and happy for Julia if she is dating the Protagonist. She'll willingly become the Protagonist's slave and suggests Julia becomes one too, if she isn't already.

Even if Julia isn't dating the Protagonist, Ashley has no issue with becoming the Protagonist's slave and suggests both of them become the Protagonist's slaves, being slave sisters for real.

Unlike most others, she relies heavily on Physical spells, with no other kinds of spells as of version 0.62.

As of version 0.47, she no longer requires Sarah's mother to get her soul back.

Party Role: Damage Dealer (Physical)

Ashley has seven spells, all of which are physical in nature. Due to this, she bypasses enemies with high magic defense like a breeze, but her lack of variety in spells might cause people to be disinterested in her.

Luckily, she starts with the Grapple spell, allowing her to cause Hold status on enemies. Visiting the 21st floor of the dungeon also allows you to unlock her Berserk spell, which makes her hit very hard and very fast.

Finally, her Rapid Punch is which is based of both the Speed and the Power stat is among the strongest spells in the game, since she has high stats in both.

Ashley Stars In...

Ashley plays a major role in the following routes:

Enslave Ashley

There's currently four ways of enslaving her, though one causes her mind to break in the process.

The first way is by not dating Julia. If you're not dating her - or she's your slave - she will hesitate in telling you that she sent Ashley home. Choose to punish Julia and you'll meet Ashley back at your house. Speak to her and you'll make Ashley your slave, breaking her mind in the process. You can at this point enslave Julia as well, should you want to.

Otherwise, see the Cure Ashley route through to completion (located below). At the end of it, choose not to uphold your deal with Julia and instead enslave Ashley. Julia will ask - if she's not already your slave - to become your slave as well. You can choose to do so for a scene to play out or you can tell Julia you have no interest in enslaving her.

The third way involves choosing to uphold you deal with Julia and freeing Ashley (in the scene that happens right after she's cured). Afterwards talk to Ashley in the living room (there will be two new scenes); casting suppression at any time during either one will enslave her.

The fourth way is to give Julia the book and allowing her to read it, with her then handing it to Ashley.

Note however that this will not make Ashley count as your slave - whether this is a bug or simply yet implemented is unknown.

Willing Slave Ashley

Ashley is one of the characters that has a willing slave route.

Requirements

The following are the requirements to get Ashley as a willing slave.

  • Fixed Ashley's mind.
  • Not dating, nor having enslaved, Julia.
  • Have met Brittany and agreed to help her.
  • Chakrams (1 is enough).

After fixing Ashley's mind, put Julia in your party. Head to the Enchantment Shop and speak to Brittany. During the scene, ask her about her ears. At the end of the scene, agree to help Brittany. Head to the school library.

Speak to Julia and, during the scene, use a Chakram on Brittany. Afterwards, enslave Julia when she tells you that you may go. This is possible by simply using the Grapple spell.

Head back to the Protagonist's house and a scene plays out. Tell Ashley that you want her as a slave, just the way that she is. Otherwise, you'll turn her into a normal slave.

Dating Ashley

To date Ashley, you need to first fix her mind, then uphold your promise to Julia to free her.

Next, there's two new scenes in the living room. The first one has no requirement other than Ashley being free. In the first one, you can choose either option; the scene plays differently depending on the one you choose but neither one locks you out from the date.

If you choose to take a drink with her, you can cast Flirt on her during the line "Too bad you're a bit young for me" for an affection boost.

Note that this line will not trigger if you're dating Julia. For unknown reasons, the line might not appear.

Regardless of if you choose to talk to her or drink with her, the scene ends with her wanting to sleep off all casserole she just ate.

The second scene requires Ashley to be level 15+. At any point when she speaks, you can cast Flirt to go on another date with her. During the scene that follows, choose "Ashley" for an affection boost as well as another scene, in which she and the Protagonist plays a strip game and the loser has to do any one thing the winner asks.

Ashley wins, requesting the Protagonist to kiss her. The Protagonist is somewhat thrown off by the request but complies in the end without further issue.

Recruitment

To make Ashley spawn, the Protagonist has to be level three or above. Walk around on the first floor of the dungeon and she'll eventually spawn. During the battle, cast Suppression on her three times.

Afterwards, speak to Julia in the library and she'll ask to investigate Ashley for a bit.

Head to the streets and Ashley will be waiting there. Speaking to her causes her to join the party automatically.

Cure Ashley

Julia volunteers to take care of her but won't go into detail as to why she wants to.

Shortly after, Julia seemingly deems her fit for battle, seemingly sending her to the Protagonist's house - though it's more likely she actually wanted to send her to their actual house.

The Protagonist encounters her on the streets and is confused about her being fit for fight already, which Ashley claims that Julia said was fine. Later on, after reaching the tenth floor of the dungeon, the Protagonist walks in on Julia trying teach Ashley how to read, but Ashley gets annoyed and instead punches Ashley. Soon after this, Julia sends her home. Ashley, not realizing she meant her actual home, goes to the Protagonist's house as she was defeated by the Protagonist and only wishes to follow someone strong.

After becoming a part of the party, the Protagonist speaks to Julia again. She's now trying to teach Ashley how to read, but she says it's boring and that she wants to fight. Julia remarks that [Ashley] doesn't know what [Ashley] wants, causing Ashley to attack her.

Shortly after, Julia deems it fit to send Ashley back to their parents. If you went on a successful date with Julia, the Protagonist can either reply with saying it's a terrible idea - Julia briefly mentions that her parents might change their minds on letting her go into the dungeon in that case. The Protagonist scolds her, saying that it's not like she needs a note from her parents about it.

Julia tries defending herself by saying that it's not as simple as the Protagonist wants it to sound as she still lives with her parents. The Protagonist then remarks that since Ashley can't even recognize Julia, who is her own sister, how happy will Julia's parents be in that case? Julia breaks down and realizes she's screwed up and brings her back home.

Otherwise, the Protagonist can remark that it's a good idea, but Julia realizes it's a terrible idea regardless. In this case, it's due to the fact that her parents will only see she's well physically - mentally, she's completely gone.

If you haven't dated Julia, she will admit to sending Ashley to their parents but will be reluctant in doing so. In that case, if you choose to punish Julia in the scene that follows, you can enslave Ashley, breaking her mind in the process.

Regardless of which route is chosen, Ashley is brought back to the library by Julia. Some time after, Julia asks the Protagonist for help. This time, she requires the spell that Jane is using to access Mind Dungeons.

Once inside her mind, Jane remarks that it's very shallow - for all she can tell, the Protagonist is already at the core of it. A fight erupts, after which the Protagonist and his/her party emerges victorious.

In the scene that follows, Julia was hoping this would be enough to fix Ashley's mind, but realizes she's being too optimistic. However, she plans on doing everything in her power to make her sister normal again.

After the Protagonist has reached the fourteenth floor of the dungeon, the Protagonist is encountered by Julia in the streets, who shows that Ashley has recognized Julia as her little sister - though by no means is she actually "fixed" yet.

The Protagonist can choose to walk away or confront her - regardless, the next scene has a variation if you cast Suppression on Sarah's mother.

If you did: She'll explain that Ashley seems to be lacking her soul, so the Protagonist asks if she's undead or a monster. Sarah's mother explains that's not quite it, but she's not sure where the soul is either. The Protagonist decides to head into the dungeon in order to find it.

Alternate Solution

If you for some reason failed to obtain Sarah's mom, or simply chose not to do that route, as of version 0.47, you can simply go to floor 15 after seeing Julia failing to fix Ashley's mind without having the Possession spell. Staying here for quite some time (around 3 minutes) causes a scene to trigger in which Ashley faints. Heading back to the Protagonist's room causes the scene where she's fixed to play out as normal and Ashley becomes possible to enslave or free as usual.

Ashley's Soul Search

In the dungeon (if you went there on advice by Sarah's mother), four scenes plays out. The first one requires the Protagonist to be on floor 12, the next floor 13, the third is floor 14 and the final one is floor 15. After the floor 15 scene, Ashley faints. When brought back to the Protagonist's room, Julia will ask what in the world has happened to Ashley, causing the Protagonist to admit that s/he has no idea and explains that Ashley just fainted.

As Julia is crying, Ashley asks Julia to stop poking [Ashley] in [Ashley's] boob with [Julia's] elbow, as it's gonna bruise her. When asked what Ashley remembers, she says she doesn't remember much - just that she lost her mind from the Berserk spell but is happy to be back again. Julia figures she should head on back home, but Ashley remarks she haven't graduated yet - as such, if she went back, their parents would most likely just keep her at home for the rest of her life. Not wanting this, she volunteers to join the team. Julia, in turn, agrees to willingly explore the dungeon with the others - she'd prefer to be with her sister at all times, to make sure she doesn't run off.

Overjoyed that her sister is back, Ashley willingly accepts that the Protagonist might wish to enslave Ashley.

If the Protagonist chooses not to, s/he welcomes Ashley to the team, "for real this time" with Julia also agreeing on entering the dungeon volunteeringly. The Protagonist promises to try and keep them both on the team at the same time, but admits to being unable to promise anything. Ashley then asks if it's alright if she changes clothes - she's worried that her current outfit might fall apart at any time after wearing it for a year.

Otherwise, the Protagonist can enslave Ashley, causing Julia to ask to be enslaved as well. Ashley jumps on the idea, saying "they can be slave sisters for real!" However, the Protagonist can simply ignore Julia's plea and only enslave Ashley. Julia agrees to tag along in order to keep an eye on her sister, but is somewhat more reluctant in doing so, not wanting her sister to be a slave but she has no options left.

Ashley asks if it's alright if she changes her clothes, after wearing her clothes for almost a year, they'll likely fall apart at any time.

The Protagonist, regardless of if you enslaved Julia or not, remarks that Ashley is "welcome to the harem, for real this time".

Regardless of route chosen, Ashley's mind is finally free from the Berserk spell and she can finally resume being a regular student in school again.

Honey, I shrunk the Berserker!

If the Protagonist has access to the Transform and Shrink spells and Ashley was cured, the Protagonist can cast Transform on Ashley from the menu while in the streets. This allows the Protagonist to choose from two options. Both give Ashley a small affection boost. The Protagonist can also cast Shrink before the options show up, triggering a short scene and allowing the Protagonist to have some fun as her.

  • Note that this is repeatable regardless of option chosen, allowing for a quick and permanent way to max out her affection.
  • As of version 0.62, a bugged Cassandra appears in the school hallway for all T+S scenes. She cannot be interacted with.
  • The shrinking scene that plays out is the first scene that appears on the title screen.

Mysterious Book Plotline

Sending Ashley back home, and then grabbing her, is the start of the Mysterious Book plotline, in which Julia no longer cares to save Ashley's mind. Instead, she wishes to enslave Ashley - and all other women - for the Protagonist. Unless the Protagonist is Rosa (or a gender changed Dan) - then she has plans of her own...

If you give the Book to Julia and let her read it enough, she'll end up giving it to Ashley solely to see if it works on Ashley, with her mind being lost from the Berserk spell. Ashley says that she feels good reading it and asks if the Protagonist wants to feel good together with her. As a result, the Protagonist grabs Julia at the library, where she's defaulted to her Slutty personality and also counts as your slave. You're free to take it back from Ashley, or you can let Ashley keep reading to see if it'll affect her in some other way.

If Ashley is fixed prior to being given the book, another scene plays out instead. In this scene, the Protagonist walks in on Ashley reading the book while masturbating, causing the Protagonist to ask where she got the book. Ashley casually replies that Julia let her borrow it. The Protagonist will head back and speak to Julia, who has now changed into her Slutty personality.

The Protagonist heads to the library and confronts Julia about it, who explains she wanted to see if it'd affect Ashley as much as it did Julia. The Protagonist is confused about Julia's behavior, given all they had to go through to fix Ashley's mind. Julia replies that the book will make her into a slave - just like all women should be.

If the Protagonist requests the book back, Julia and the Protagonist head back to the Protagonist's house where they retrieve the book, though Ashley want to keep reading it, saying that she is nearly at the good part. Julia realizes what part it is, but quickly corrects herself and gives the book to the Protagonist, remarking that Ashley isn't fully a slave yet.

Ashley's Training Regime

If Ashley lives at the Protagonist's house and is at least level 18, a scene plays out in which she asks to see the Protagonist's muscles. The Protagonist can choose to show the muscles or try bring the conversation back on track.

Choosing the former starts a small sub route in which Ashley decides to train the Protagonist.

Should the Protagonist agree to doing this training, Ashley will say she'll wait for the Protagonist in the forest. Heading there, one of two scenes plays out.

The Protagonist lacks Physical Proficiency

If the Protagonist's Physical proficiency is lower than Ashley's (less than 25% of hers, so if she has 1000, this scene plays out if the Protagonist has less than 250). In this scene, Ashley is slightly disappointed in the Protagonist's weak stature and promises to help the Protagonist to train, telling him/her to punch 100 times. The Protagonist, shocked, asks if she's serious which Ashley confirms she is.

The Protagonist has Physical Proficiency

If the Protagonist's Physical Proficiency is at least 25% of hers (if she has 1000, you need at least 250), Ashley becomes surprised at how strong the Protagonist is and decides to help the Protagonist out with training, stating s/he should start by punching 1000 times. The Protagonist, shocked, asks if she's serious which Ashley confirms she is.

The Arm Wrestling

Heading back home to the living room, Ashley (as long as she's level 20 or above) again confronts the Protagonist, this time wanting to have an arm wrestling match. She'll use 1/4th of her strength (physical proficiency), so if the Protagonist has an equal amount or more than 1/4th of hers, the Protagonist wins. Otherwise, she'll win. Before the match, the Protagonist can guess who wins. Choosing the correct option increases her affection by a small amount.

Mud Wrestling

At level 21 or above, Ashley confronts the Protagonist in the forest again, this time wanting to wrestle. If the Protagonist is dating Julia, there's a short mention of this. Unlike the previous scenes, this one has no alternations.

Faculty Control Ending

Testimony type: Good.

During the Faculty Control Ending, Ashley is one of the possible slaves that can provide the Protagonist with testimony.

Her known good testimonies are:

  • If you enslaved her right after fixing her mind rather than freeing her
  • If you did not enslave Julia, as this disappoints her a little.

Slave outfits

Normal

  • She lets out her hair, which has turned reddish-brown and replaces her dirty bandages with clean ones.

Mindless

  • She wears the same outfit as in Normal, only saying a few words.

Party

  • She gets a drink in her hand and replaces her tank top with a pink tank top. She's very cheerful and outgoing. This is the only one where she lacks her bandages. Like in normal and mindless, her hair turns more reddish-brown.

Berserker

  • How she looked and acted when you got her.

Bimbo Form

  • Her breasts grows larger, she gets pink eyes and she appears to be even more keen on having fun than when in her Party form.
    • To transform her, you must fix her mind (see the Berserker Route for details) and then meet her in the Protagonist's living room.

Enchantment Levels

Enchanting her clothes gives the following benefits:

Level 1

Attack

+4 Power.

Defense

+200 HP, +3 Defense.

Endurance

+1 Speed, +10 Stamina.

Trivia

  • She originally started with 160 HP. This was changed in version 0.48 (presumed - not listed in the version history) to make her focus more on being a tank-type character.
  • She's described as to having "red eyes" if you find out about her by visiting Dr. Tiff's room. However, her eyes are blue. It's likely that her eyes became red as a result of the Berserk spell.
    • If using the old artwork, she has red eyes, though it's unknown if it's her natural eye color in that case.
  • She's the first secret character added to the game.
  • She was the first character to obtain seven spells in Physical Magic.
  • When first meeting her, she has no idea what her name is. Julia, at some point, starts calling her "Ashley" if you leave her with Julia.
  • She managed to survive in the dungeon for a full year before being found. To do this, she attacked students on the first floor to steal their supplies and, when no students were present, she went further down and killed Slimes which she then ate.
  • Ashley is the heaviest hitter in the game as of version 0.62, not counting Val's "Erase" spell. At around level 24+, she can kill the Alure Fish in one attack, using Rapid Punch even if she's at half Stamina.
  • She's a year older than the Protagonist, meaning she's likely twenty as, given by the Intro Transcript, the Protagonist seems to be nineteen and everyone else eighteen.
  • For obvious reasons, she'll never join the Protagonist on the first day of school.
  • As of version 0.62, she is unable to be freed from the Protagonist's control during the Redemption Route. This is due to it not being added to the game yet.
  • Before losing her mind, she had managed to reach the sixteenth floor of the dungeon.
  • After being freed from her Berserk spell, she lives at the Protagonist's house.
    • The first thing she does is eat all the casserole that the Protagonist's mother had prepared.
  • Despite being able to enslave since version 0.38, she didn't get her alternate forms until version 0.45.
  • Her hair color was originally brown, but due to unknown reasons, it turned reddish-brown when the artwork was updated.
    • Due to this, her new real hair color is reddish-brown, while her Berserker form shows her as a brunette.
